Say Hello To My Lil Gold Friend

No pictures of a new purse yet. I had a setback but should be complete by tomorrow.

So, how did everyone enjoy the Oscars last night? I was mildly entertained and was pretty happy for everyone that won...especially Ang Lee and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Both are amazingly talented and deserve every accolade they receive. I wasn't too wowed by the red carpet fashion show. The gowns were kinda ho-hum...almost everyone looked great but only a few really stood out. One of my faves of the night was Sandra Bullock. How fun and beautiful did she look? Much better than that white dress she wore two years ago. Yes, I still remember it. That's how bad it was. Well this year, not only did she have pockets in her dress, she had Keanu as a date. Not too shabby.

And how GORGEOUS is Salma? Need I even ask? My Lord! The color of her gown really stood out in a sea of champagne and black. Also, it fit her perfectly. I really like her hair and minimal jewelry. She's such a true beauty. Why couldn't she have presented a few more awards? Jennifer Lopez also added a bit of color...the dress was wonderful, but what was up with the bronzer?

I'd also like to say that both Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin looked fabulous. Classics. Both dressed appropriately for their age, but certainly not matronly. Growing older gracefully never looked so good.

Other than that, those who usually look good [Nicole, Felicity, Reese, all the Jennifers, Hilary, etc] looked good. There were a few missteps [Charlize, Naomi, um...what's up with Helena Bonham Carter and Jada's upper body?] and a few redemptions [Uma, Uma, Uma]...but none of them were enough to be completely floored by or to ask 'What were they thinking?'

And I was reading on another blog about how cute Michelle and Heath are...In my opinion, they don't hold a candle to Felicity and William.

God, I can't wait to be criticized for my Oscar fashions.
