Baby Cancer's Gift

My stash is not cooperating with my knitting needs. I had it in my mind to make something red, white and/or blue for my friend's baby, due July 4th [hence the name Baby Cancer]. I have some 100% acrylic yarn that was used for another baby item a few months back. The only problem is the contrasting color I have is minty green and I really don't want to buy a skein of a second color, since I'm trying to get rid of what I have. So, I'm going to make this little sweater in white and embroider a few blue stars on it. Too cute? Yeah, I thought so too. My eyes have gotten really tired from staring at the computer screen so I'm going to cast on and get this little gifty underway.
