What's My Motivation? The HOLIDAZE!

I've been lazy about blogging, but I haven't been lazy about knitting. Check out what I've been working on...and finishing!
Backstory

Pattern: Knitty Loopy Scarf
Yarn: Leftover mohair/acrylic from Airy Cardigan and Muench Big Baby as the accent
Needles: Size 17 Susan Bates Quicksilver circular needles
Exposition: I cut this one short because I wasn't 100% in love with how it was turning out. I love the Big Baby's colorway, but somehow it just wasn't what I expected. It's still cute, don't get me wrong. I casted off the center 4 stitches for a buttonhole do-dad and after a few more rows, bound off. 4 stitches was waaay too many, given the looseness of the gauge, but Smoochy was cool enough to reinforce it for me to keep the stretch from getting out of control.

Backstory

Pattern: Vogue Spring/Summer 2005 Leaf Scarf
Yarn: Knitpicks Alpaca Cloud in Peppermint and Wool of the Andes in Mulled Wine, Hollyberry and Mist
Needles: Size 7 random bamboo straight needles
Exposition: I think I love this scarf! This scarf was originally intended for my own use, but I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or gift it. It's definitely in need of a little more blocking. I'm contemplating other color combinations. My leaves somehow look like little hearts...wouldn't it be cute as an accent to a Valentine ensemble?

Backstory

Pattern: If you don't know this pattern by now, you must have been living under a ball of acrylic
Yarn: Makalu Sheridan - Handpainted 55% Silk 45% Cashmere
Needles: Size 6 Brypun circulars
Exposition:I'm sure no one needs details about this one. I will say, however...I love this scarf! If it weren't already promised to someone, I would keep it. I will be revisiting Clapotis as a scarf again...this time I'll be keeping it for me!

I've got to run...more gifts are needing to be knit and I've got an agent workshop and a film screening this coming weekend to prepare for. See you later!
